Mark Stevens, Plant Manager of BNZ Materials

Mark’s Bio:

He is the Plant Manager of BNZ Materials located in Zelienople, PA. BNZ Materials manufactures

Refractory products for customers worldwide. The plant employs 17 staff and 45 hourly workers. The

company has been in business since 1988. He has been with BNZ for 5 years. Prior to BNZ, He was GS

employee serving as Strategic Planner, assistant to the Chief of Staff and Operations officer for the West

Virginia National Guard. He served in the Army for 30 years and retired as Colonel.

 

He graduated from IUP with a BS in Safety Management and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in

the Infantry in 1978. He has two masters’ degrees: Public Administration from Central Michigan

University and Strategic Studies from the Army Senior Service College. He is currently, enrolled in Liberty

University online pursuing a Masters in Religion Leadership.

He is married to the former Vivian Lee Hogan for 38 years. They have six children and eleven

grandchildren.

 

He teaches an Adult Bible Fellowship Sunday mornings and volunteers as a youth leader Sunday nights

at Pathway Church. He has traveled to Mexico and Canada with the youth group on mission’s trips. This

past spring, he went to Kenya.

 

He enjoys his family. Over Labor Day weekend, he and his wife host the entire family camping on his

small farm. You will find him bird hunting his dogs with Duchess and Willow in the fall. There are four

goats, three horses and a small John Deere Tractor on the farm. He swims, bikes, runs and lift weights.

He aspires to be a missionary overseas; he has no plans to retire. He enjoys reading books on Christian

leadership. His vision is to glorify God in all that he does.
