Our planet is in desperate need of leaders to lead right where we are. We need to become the best leaders we can be right now, not 5, 10, or 15 years from now when we’ve read more books, have some leadership title or feel more competent in our leadership abilities.

Our world is in dire need of leaders to rise up and become healthier, stronger, better, and wiser. Your workplace needs you to be operating at your very best. Your community needs you to be creatively bringing solutions. Your family needs you to continue growing into the man or woman of God that you were created to be.  Our world needs you to be standing tall in all of your spheres of influence. God needs you to lead in every area of life.

The world needs your leadership

The world needs your leadership

We need to exemplify a higher way of living to anyone who dares to watch our lives. This is not a time to sit around and just learn about leadership. If you’re alive and breathing, you’ve got to put yourself in the game and start leading something. If you are a seasoned leader, recognize that your margin for error is narrow or even non-existent, but you are graced to lead where you are!

Leading is ultimately all about others. As leaders, it is our responsibility to be aware of what is going on in our world. Allow yourself to hear the cry of those in need, regardless of whether that cry is in a faraway land or in the room next door. See beyond the statistics into real lives and real hearts.

A few of our mastermind groups read the book “50 Facts That Should Change the World 2.0 by Jessica Williams” (affiliate link) back in June. Each leader selected an issue or cause both local and global that tugged on their heart. We researched and shared what we learned about the issue and then collectively as a group we brainstormed ways we can support specific causes. I loved hearing what stirred each leader’s heart. It was a reminder that humanity cries out all the time. We challenged ourselves to hear, care, see, and respond.

My desire for L3 Leadership is that we will be recorded as having made a difference of some kind. I pray we would be a group of leaders diverse in nature and calling, but bound together in friendship and cause. We would genuinely care about one another, the communities we inhabit, and the overall plight of humanity. We wouldn’t run from problems or feel too overwhelmed to act, but instead, would find needs and meet them. Collectively we would champion causes both locally and globally and make a great impact. We would fight on behalf of others, raise our voice for those without a voice, and stand in the gap for those who are lost, broken, hurting, or without rights. I’ve always believed that one person can change the world. Imagine what a company of leaders could do. We as leaders are truly brilliant when we are awakened, mobilized and united. Together we can do great things and make a difference!

I challenge you to ask yourself the same questions I did when I was on Mt. Washington looking over the city of Pittsburgh. For what are you commissioned? For what are you called to do? Right in this moment and at this time and with others around you.
